AT&T Drops Tiger Woods Sponsorship
AT&T has ended its endorsement deal with golfer Tiger Woods after news broke out that he was allegedly involved with 12 mistresses.
He was signed on for a multi-year contract in early 2009 and the company’s logo appeared on his golf bag and had “several links through his charitable foundation and AT&T-branded golf tournaments.”
AT&T followed the lead of Accenture and Gillette, who had already ended their endorsements with Woods.
Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer said earlier last month that it plans to continue its partnership with Woods but will “downscale its presence.”
Other companies like, Pepsi and Nike have said that they will either continue their endorsement deal with the actor or have remained quiet about the matter.
