Katy Perry and Russell Brand Get Engaged

Katy Perry and Russell Brand, who have been dating since September 2009, have reportedly gotten engaged while on vacation in India.

Brand confirmed the news to the Sun newspaper.

“It’s true. Much love.”

Perry recently shared a picture on her Twitter account of the Taj Mahal, saying:

“He built this for me.”

The trip to India was a Christmas gift from Brand because of Perry’s love of Indian culture.

Perry recently opened up to Glamour magazine about her relationship with Brand.

“When he was filming Get Him to the Greek, I did a cameo with him. My scene called for me to make out with him. And on the way down the stairs after the scene, I was hopping like a bunny. I hope like a bunny when I’m happy—I get a bit childlike.”
