Neil Patrick Harris is a ‘Smurf’
Neil Patrick Harris will star in the big screen adaptation of The Smurfs.
Harris will play the lead live-action character.
Filming is set to begin in April and Harris will be on hiatus from his show How I Met Your Mother.
The Smurfs is scheduled for a July 29, 2011 release.
The film is based on a series of Belgian series of comic books and centers around a group of villagers, known for their blue skin and small statures.
