Julia Roberts Covers Entertainment Weekly

Julia Roberts promotes her new film Eat, Pray, Love in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly. Here’s what the 42-year-old actress said:

On scarfing down all of the food she ate during the duration of filming: “If you look at any of the scenes of eating, by the end of the scene, I’m done eating. Like in the scene with the pizza, by the time the scene is over, I’ve eaten the entire piece. When we were in Naples, we started shooting at 8 in the morning, and I think by 8:45 I’d eaten 8 or 10 pieces of pizza. Pizza was what I ate all day.”

On whether she obsesses over her appearance: “I’m human. Sometimes I, like anybody, wake up in the morning and go, ‘F—. Really? This is the starting point?’ Haven’t you ever picked up a picture of yourself from, like, five years ago, and you look at yourself and you just go, ‘And I had no appreciation for how lovely I looked, how fit and healthy I looked.’ So now I say, ‘Now listen. Ten years from now, you’re really going to think you should have appreciated yourself more.’ And I’m raising a daughter, and I really want to empower her by example.”

NYGossipGirl Exclusive Interview: Josh Hutcherson

NYGossipGirl recently had the pleasure of chatting with The Kids Are All Rights actor Josh Hutcherson.

The film center around two children played by Hutcherson and Alice in Wonderland star Mia Wasikowska, who are conceived by artificial insemination.

Mark Ruffalo plays their birth father and Julianne Moore and Annette Bening play their parents.

The 17-year-old actor will star in and executive produce the indie horror comedy Detention, which will also star Dane Cook.

In the film, a group of teenagers must literally survive their final year of high school as a slasher movie killer comes to life to terrorize them.

The independently-produced feature commences filming next month with a $10 million budget.

Leonardo DiCaprio Regrets Not Doing Boogie Nights

Leonardo DiCaprio has had an incredibly successful career, but there’s one role that got away.

During a recent radio interview, the 35-year-old actor revealed that he regrets not working on the Boogie Nights film. The actor said: “Probably the only film I was offered and turned down but now wish I had made is Boogie Nights. The first time I met Paul Anderson to discuss that role I hadn’t seen any of his previous work. Now I’ve seen a lot of it and I really liked that film.”

FYI: DiCaprio ditched Boogie Nights in favor of Titanic, while Mark Walhberg went on to play the lead role.

Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox to Reunite

Jennifer Aniston might be heading back to the small screen for a guest appearance on her Friends costar – and real-life BFF - Courteney Cox’s comedy Cougar Town.

According to EW, Aniston is very close to signing a deal to reunite with Cox. If the deal goes through, she’ll appear in an early episode of the show’s second season, which is set to premiere on Sept. 22.

Although ABC has not commented, the show’s executive producer said: “I would love for it to happen but there’s nothing to talk about yet.”

This would be the second time the the Friends stars reunited on TV. In 2007, Aniston appeared in an episode of Cox’s FX show, Dirt.

Cox’s other Friends costar guest-starred in an episode of Cougar Town in the first season.

Jersey Shore’s Snooki Arrested

Jersey Shore reality star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was arrested and booked by the Seaside Heights, N.J., police department on Friday (July 30) after she was seen intoxicated in public.

To top it off, MTV was filming the 22-year-old while this was going on.

According to reports, Polizzi is expected to be charged with disorderly conduct.

“She didn’t hurt anyone or get in a fight,” a source said. “She just needs to be in a drunk tank for two hours.”

Mark Ruffalo Opens Up About Hulk Role

Mark Ruffalo is finally opening up about playing The Hulk in the upcoming Avengers movie. During an interview at San Diego’s Comic Con, the actor shared:

On making his debut at Comic-Con: “It was very exciting — and I realized I had some pretty big shoes to fill. Those were my heroes up there! I was a comic book fan growing up. I loved The Hulk and The Avengers — it’s just strange to be entering that world as an actor. I never would have imagined that before. I was very, very nervous. I didn’t know what to expect. That’s as close you’re going to get to being a rock star as an actor. The fans — they have very strong feelings toward their comic book heroes.”

On Bruce Banner: “He’s a guy struggling with two sides of himself — the dark and the light — and everything he does in his life is filtered through issues of control. I grew up on the Bill Bixby TV series, which I thought was a really nuanced and real human way to look at The Hulk. I like that the part has those qualities.”

On Marvel’s split with Ed Norton: “I’m a friend of Ed’s, and yeah, that wasn’t a great way for all that to go down. But the way I see it is that Ed has bequeathed this part to me. I look at it as my generation’s Hamlet.”

Jennifer Lopez: American Idol’s New Judge?

Jennifer Lopez might be adding another career to her resume soon – as a judge on American Idol.

The singer-actress is reportedly very close to signing a deal to become a permanent judge

Just yesterday, Ellen DeGeneres announced that she was stepping down from her position as the show’s judge.

Allegedly, Lopez’s longtime manager Benny Medina, orchestrated the deal.

Fox has not officially announced any replacements.

Ellen DeGeneres Leaves American Idol

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, who started her full-time judge gig on the show last ninth season, is leaving the hit reality show.

In a statement, DeGeneres wrote: “A couple months ago, I let FOX and the American Idol producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for m. I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for.”

“I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on Idol and I am very grateful for the year I had, I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”

Rachel Bilson Returning to How I Met Your Mother

Rachel Bilson will reprise her role on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother.

Bilson will return as Cindy, the roommate of Ted’s (Josh Radnor) future wife, series creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas confirm.

The actress will appear in the show’s sixth season premiere this fall when Cindy shows up at MacLaren’s bar,

According to Bays, “The season premiere is going to be very much informed by her presence.”

Lee Pace in Talks to Play Robert Pattinson’s BFF in Twilight Saga

Pushing Daisies actor Lee Pace is very close to being cast in the next installment of The Twilight Saga.

If he lands the role, Pace will play Garrett, a friend of Edward Cullen’s.

The character is described in the script as a tall, nomadic vampire with sandy hair that he keeps tied back with a leather thong. Garrett is also penned as being down-to-earth, laid-back, rugged and having a lightness and element of humor about him.
