Emma Roberts: Twelve Out Today

Emma Roberts does some after-Christmas shopping with friends in West Hollywood (Dec. 27).

The 19-year-old actress has a lot to be smiling about.

She has three films coming out next year, including the much-anticipated  Scream 4.

Additionally, her film Twelve is out on DVD.

The film centers around White Mike, young drug dealer who’s high-rolling life is dismantled in the wake of his cousin’s murder.

Roberts plays Molly, a friend of Mike’s who does not know he is a drug dealer.

Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth Engaged

Reese Witherspoon and Hollywood agent Jim Toth are engaged.

“They are extremely happy,” her rep confirmed

The couple have been dating since January, shortly after her split from Jake Gyllenhaal.

Toth works as an agent at L.A.’s Creative Artists Agency; Witherspoon is a CAA client, but Toth doesn’t represent her.

According to a source, “Jim knows Reese is the one for him. It’s what he’s been waiting for. [Getting engaged] is a natural step for them.”

Leighton Meester rocks a colorful floral dress on the February cover of Seventeen magazine. Here’s what the Country Strong actress opened up about:

On her singing: “I’m working with a band right now, doing a lot of acoustic music through singing and writing. It’s really fun and fulfilling. It’s an expression of what I have in my life and what I’m going through, or what I have gone through, and of course, it’s mostly about love or relationships.”

On the fact that having a boyfriend isn’t a priority: “I would say the same thing today as well. [But] I think that the importance of love is really strong for me in my life, whether it’s a guy or a friend or just my puppy. I think love changes you over time, and whether you have good or bad experiences, you always grow and learn from it.”

On starting a family: “I want a family someday and I know that I have to let love in to create that and I think there is someone out there for me, but I’m not on some crazy hunt for that right now.”

Diane Kruger Lands Marie Antoinette Role

Diane Kruger has joined the cast of Farewell My Queen, the adaption of the novel by Chantal Thomas, where she will play Marie Antoinette.

Kruger replaced Eva Green who was initially approached for the role.

Natalie Portman: Pregnant and Engaged

Black Swan star Natalie Portman and choregorapher Benjamin Millepied are engaged and expecting a child, her rep confirms.

The couple first met during production of the ballet thriller, which has earned her a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award.

Portman can be seen next alongside Ashton Kutcher in the romantic comedy No Strings Attached.

Ginnifer Goodwin Gets Engaged

Big Love actress Ginnifer Goodwin has gotten engaged to her boyfriend Joey Kern.

“We couldn’t be happier than to celebrate our engagement over the holidays with our families,” the couple said in a statement.

Goodwin, 32, and Kern, 34, have been dating for two years after being set up by a mutual friend.

Kern proposed to Goodwin earlier this month with a ring he designed by himself.

The pair pan to tie the knot next fall.

Although casting has not been set and no role has been offered, Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks hopes that she’s the one that gets to don the famous gold, red, white and blue suit on the big screen.

Rumors are constantly swirling about which actress will play Wonder Woman and Henricks wants producers to know that she’s serious about the role.

Hendricks said: ”I heard that rumor [of being offered the part] too – I don’t know where it got started but I love it! I’ve been wanting to wear that outfit my whole life! I’d love to [do it]. That would be such fun! Let’s put it out there!

NYGossipGirl Exclusive Interview: Stephen Dorff

NYGossipGirl caught up with Stephen Dorff at the New York premiere of his new movie Somewhere. The 37-year-old plays Johnny Marco, a Hollywood bad-boy who’s stumbling through a life of excess at the Chateau Marmont when he unexpectedly gets a visit from his 11-year-old daughter (Elle Fanning). Dorff chatted about his role, working with Fanning and Sophia Coppola.

NYGossipGirl: How did you land this fantastic role?

Dorff: Sophia called me up, I read the script and then I jumped on a plane to Paris and kind of just had a week where we talked and had dinners with some mutual friends. I think she was observing me and at the end of that week I had the role.

NYGossipGirl: I talked with Elle and she said you were practically stalking her before production started, like going to her game and getting into your father-daughter roles.

Dorff: [Laughs] Yeah, we were doing all kinds of fun stuff, going to volleyball games, making pottery. I learned a lot through Elle and we went to a couple of cool spots that I can now take my sisters to. Because I don’t think you would ever picture me in Color Me Mine. I’m happy to have gotten that experience and I loved all the family around this film when we were making it. I loved Sophia there with her kids there and Elle, my friend’s son. Our producer’s about to have a baby. It’s exciting. I’m getting old, I better have a kid soon.

NYGossipGirl: How did you prepare for the role?

Dorff: Just everything, you know. Just checking into that hotel as Johnny Marco and trying to create an iconic movie star.

NYGossipGirl: And you look amazing, who are you wearing?

Dorff: Well this is Tom Ford. He’s been very gracious for making me suits for all the premieres starting with Venice. And you can’t really complain, it’s pretty awesome. When you work with Sophia you get all these fancy clothes too.

Michelle Williams Breaks Her Silence on Heath Ledger’s Death

Michelle Williams opened up about how she coped with the loss of Heath Ledger almost three years after his tragic death.

“In a strange way, I miss that year, because all those possibilities that existed then are gone,” she told Nightline. “It didn’t seem unlikely to me that he could walk through a door or could appear behind a bush. It was a year of very magical thinking, and in some ways I’m sad to be moving further and further away from it.

“I found meanings around the circumstances but the actual event itself I can’t find a, I can’t find it. I can’t find a meaning for it,” she continued. “I can find meanings in things and people and relationships that have sprung up and friendships that have strengthened. I found a lot of meaning in that but not in ‘why.’”

NYGossipGirl Exclusive Interview: Elle Fanning

NYGossipGirl recently caught up with Elle Fanning at the premiere of her new film Somewhere. The 12-year-old actress dished about her role, balancing school work and what it was like working with co-star Stephen Dorff.

NYGG: So tell me a little about how the role came about?

Fanning: I first sort of just met with her [director Sophia Coppola] and I didn’t know what the movie was about and we talked and I got to know her. Then, a long period of time passed and I’m like ‘Oh, I didn’t get it.’ Later on she called me back to the Chateau Marmont and I read lines win Stephen. After that we started and did the rehearsing process.

NYGG: And Stephen plays your father and you have this father-daughter relationship in the film. Did you meet before shooting to get to know one another?

Fanning: Yeah, he actually came and picked me up from school one day, which is the same school that he went to when he was a kid and after that we went to Pinkberry and got frozen yogurt. We also went to this place called Color Me Mine where you paint pottery. He also came to one of my volleyball games and cheered in the stands. He was acting like a dad and just getting into character.

NYGG: Did your sister Dakota [Fanning] give you any advice?

Fanning: She’s very supportive of me and very proud that I got the role. She comes and visits me on my sets and I come and visit her on hers. I think just because she’s a big sister, I always look up to her, all the choices that she’s made and everything.

The Heroes actress and actor Hayes MacArthur welcomed a healthy boy early Monday (Dec. 20) morning in Los Angeles, according to Us Magazine.

The first-time parents have named their son Theodore Hayes MacArthur.

“He’s our perfect Christmas present,” the couple shared with the publication.
