Chris Nolan Eyes Six A-List Actresses for The Dark Knight Rises

Chris Nolan is currently looking for actresses for two female lead roles in The Dark Knight Rises, the third installment of the Batman franchise.

Reportedly, he’s eyeing Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway and Keira Knightley for the roles.

One of the leads will play a love interest for Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne, while the other will play a villian (Nolan has not revealed which one yet).

The Dark Knight Rises is set for a July 20, 2012 release.

Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill to Star in 21 Jump Street

Channing Tatum is reportedly set to star opposite Jonah Hill in the remake of 21 Jump Street.

Sony Pictures reportedly met with several young male actors, but found that Tatum has the best chemistry with Hill.

If cast, Tatum would play a fresh faced cop who goes undercover with Hill to bust some high school punks. Hill co-wrote the script with Michael Bacall (Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World).

21 Jump Street is set to hit theaters in March 16, 2012.

Will Forte Leaving SNL

Comedian Will Forte will not be returning to Saturday Night Live this fall for the show’s 36th season.

Two people close to Forte confirmed the news to the New York Times.

According to one of the sources, the split was amicable and Forte left to show to pursue outside projects.

Forte joined SNL in 2002 and is notably known for his MacGruber, The Falconer and Tim Calhoun characters.

The 40-year-old actor is already attached to a number of upcoming prodcutions, including A Good Old Fashioned Orgy and the much-hyped 2011 Jonas and Josh Pate’s comedy Party Boys.

Kristen Bell and Anna Paquin Join Scream 4

Kristen Bell and Anna Paquin are set to appear in cameos in the upcoming Scream 4 movie.

The actresses will be joining Scream regulars including,  Neve CampbellCourteney Cox and David Arquette.

There are also some fresh faces in the movie, including Hayden PanettiereAdam Brody and Emma Roberts.

Shooting for the film has already begun in Michigan.

No word as of yet what characters Bell and Paquin will play.

Jennifer Aniston in Talks to Join Arrested Development Movie

According to Arrested Development star Jason Bateman, there is a role in the film for Jennifer Aniston.

Yeah, actually, there’s a real good part for her in the Arrested Development movie. There’s no offers on this one [though]. She’s gonna have to sing for her supper. I don’t know, we’ll see if she’s available. She’s busy. She’s pretty famous; I don’t know if you’ve heard of her. She’s pretty backed up. Hopefully the guy who’s in charge will like her for that part because I’m going to suggest her.”

The film’s creator is already halfway done with the script.

Bateman and Aniston have already shared the screen in several films, including The Break-Up, The Switch and the upcoming Horrible Bosses.

Megan Fox Donates “Love The Way You Lie” Appearance Fee

Megan Fox, who appears in Eminem’s “Love The Way You Lie” music video featuring Rihanna, has donated her fee for her video appearance to Sojourn, a shelter that provides abused women and their children a safe space to regroup, rebuild and reestablish their self-esteem and lives.

In the music video, Fox and Dominic Monaghan play a couple in an abusive relationship.

The pair have several kissing scenes and during a recent interview Monaghan said it was “alright” kissing Fox.

“What is it like kissing Megan Fox? It’s all right. No, I’m just kidding. It’s fine, it’s work. She’s married. I have a lot of respect for marriage. I said, ‘Look, I know that you’re married and I don’t want to do anything inappropriate.’ And she said, ‘It’s all kind of inappropriate, huh?”

Lee Pace in Talks to Play Robert Pattinson’s BFF in Twilight Saga

Pushing Daisies actor Lee Pace is very close to being cast in the next installment of The Twilight Saga.

If he lands the role, Pace will play Garrett, a friend of Edward Cullen’s.

The character is described in the script as a tall, nomadic vampire with sandy hair that he keeps tied back with a leather thong. Garrett is also penned as being down-to-earth, laid-back, rugged and having a lightness and element of humor about him.

Halle Berry Joins Shoe Addicts Anonymous

Halle Berry has landed the lead role in the adaptation of Beth Harbison best-selling book “Shoe Addicts Anonymous.”

The film centers around four Chicago women, who are all shoe addicts and share the same 7.5 size.

Berry plays an agoraphobe who feeds her addiction with online shoe purchases.

Made of Honor director Paul Weiland will be directing the project.

Berry can be seen next on Broadway, where she will perform The Mountaintop, for a limited time in the fall.

Tina Fey and Meryl Streep to Team Up in New Film

Tina Fey and Meryl Streep are in negotiations to star together in Mommy & Me and are said to be very close to the agreement.

Stanley Tucci is pitching the film, which he will direct.

The film is in the early stages with no studio signed on, no script written and no plot to speak of.

Fey once told Entertainment Weekly that she’d love to work with Streep. She said: “I’d like to play Meryl Streep’s mother,” said Fey.

Amy Adams Confirmed for Janis Joplin Biopic

Amy Adams will play ’60s singer, Janis Joplin in a biopic produced by The Twilight Saga producer Wyck Godfrey.

The project, however, has yet to find a studio.

There were several biopics rumored to be in the works years ago with Zooey Deschanel and Pink attached to them. However, those fell through.

Joplin was known for many hits, including “Me and Bobby McGee” and “Piece of My Heart,” before her career was cut short by a drug overdose at age 27.

Adams will hit the screen next in The Fighter, due in December, alongside Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg.

Ryan Reynolds Injured on the Set of Green Lantern

Ryan Reynolds was injured on Monday (July 12) on the set of his new film Green Lantern, which he’s currently filming in New Orleans.

While shooting scenes for the film, Reynolds separated his shoulder.

According to a source, the 33-year-old actor “is in lots of pain. He’s been keeping ice on it.”

Blake Lively is also starring in the film, where she will play Reynolds’ love interest.

The movie is set for a June 2011 release.

Mark Ruffalo: New Hulk?

According to reports, actor Mark Ruffalo is very close to being cast as the new Incredible Hulk in Marvel’s upcoming film, The Avengers, which Joss Whedon is set to direct.

Ruffalo would be replacing Edward Norton, who recently spoke about not continuing with the Hulk franchise.

Ruffalo can be currently seen on the big screen in the critically-acclaimed film The Kids Are All Right, where he stars alongside Julianne Moore and Annette Bening.
