Aretha Franklin Calls Off Wedding

Aretha Franklin, who announced that she was getting married earlier this month to William ‘Willie’ Wilkerson, has called off her wedding.

“Regretfully, To Our Friends and Supporters: Will and I have decided we were moving a little too fast, and there were a number of things that had not been thought through thoroughly. There will be no wedding at this time. We will not comment on it any further because of the very personal and sensitive nature of it. We appreciate all of the many well wishes from friends,” said Franklin and Wilkerson in a statement via People.

The pair had planned to marry this summer.

Britney Spears Gets Engaged to Jason Trawick

This has been quite the month for Britney Spears. Not only did the pop star celebrate her 30th birthday, but now she’s engaged to longtime beau Jason Trawick.

Trawick proposed to Spears with a Neil Lane ring on Thursday night in Los Angeles.

The singer began dating Trawick, her former agent, in 2009.

Spears has two sons, Preston, 6, and Jayden, 5, with ex-husband Kevin Federline, whom she divorced in 2006.

Anne Hathaway: Engaged to Adam Shulman

Anne Hathaway is engaged to longtime boyfriend Adam Shulman, her rep confirms.

The pair began dating in 2008.

Before that, the 28-year-old actress was dating Raffaello Follieri, who pled guilty to 14 counts of money laundering, conspiracy and wire fraud.

“I am very much in love with him, [only] Adam totally ruined my plan. I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time, and then I fell in love like a fool,” said Hathaway [via People] of Shulman.

Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz have tied the knot in a secret ceremony in New York last Wednesday,

A rep for Weisz confirms the news.

There were only four guests in attendance - Craig’s daughter Ella, 18, and Weisz’s son Henry, 5, as well as two family friends who acted as witnesses.

The pair star together in the upcoming film Dream House, which they filmed late last year.

Daniel and his fiancee Satsuki Mitchell split last year after five years together.

Rachel and her longtime partner Darren Aronofsky split last year after nine years together.

After six months of dating, Kim Kardashian and her New Jersey Nets beau Kris Humphries are ready to tie the knot.

Humphries proposed to Kardashian in her bedroom with “Will You Marry Me” written in red rose petals. He also suprised the reality star with a custom-designed, 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond sparkler.

“I just knew I wanted it to be big,” Humphries said.

With the help of Kardashian’s mom Kris Jenner, he planned an intimate family celebration later that evening.

“Kris really didn’t want a big celebration, but he had jokingly told my mom he’d be fine if there were mini-horses there,” said Kardashian. “Later that night at the party, my mom brought out two mini-horses, covered in glitter, for us! It was hysterical!”

It’s official!

Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth have tied the knot.

The couple married in front of family and friends at Witherspoon’s ranch on Saturday (March 26) in Ojai, Calif.

Witherspoon wore a custom-designed Monique Lhuillier gown for the big day.

Additionally, Isla Fisher, who is also represented by Toth’s talent agency, was also in attendance.

Jay Baruchel has proposed to girlfriend Alison Pill.

“I was just going to give her a nice gift and don’t-dump-me-anytime-soon kind of present for Christmas,” Baruchel said. ”I gave it to her and I think I decided in that moment that I might as well call a spade a spade. I’m pretty sure my words were: ‘[Screw] it, do you want to marry me?’ To which she said, ‘Yes, of course.’ ”

Baruchel gave Pill a 180-year-old Victorian wedding band for Christmas.

“They are extremely happy,” her rep confirmed

The couple have been dating since January, shortly after her split from Jake Gyllenhaal.

Toth works as an agent at L.A.’s Creative Artists Agency; Witherspoon is a CAA client, but Toth doesn’t represent her.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on Saturday (Dec. 12) in Los Angeles on Lionel Richie’s estate.

The couple, who have two children together exchanged vows in front of about 130 close family and friends.

Reportedly, there was a trained elephant that was spotted being led into the estate, although its role isn’t known.

Richie and Madden exchanged Neil Lane rings.

“They wanted an Old Hollywood, glamorous feel to their wedding,” a source told People. “They’re going all-out with the decor. Nicole wanted a memorable, elegant affair for only their closest friends and family on their special day.”
