Scott Foley Joins Grey’s Anatomy

Scott Foley has checked into Seattle Grace.

The actor will play a patient and potential love interest for Kim Raver’s Iraqi veteran Dr. Teddy Altman.

Foley will play a patient named Henry who will “stir things up,” according to show creator Shonda Rhimes.

For fans wondering if their relationship will be similar to that of Denny and Izzie’s, Rhimes says, “He’s very different from Denny. But I guess in the sense that he’s a patient who comes in and has an effect on one of our doctors, I guess that’s similar.”

Kim Raver Joins ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Full Time

Kim Raver (Lipstick Jungle, 24) has become a permanent resident of Seattle Grace.

The actress, who initially came on the show as a recurring character has now been promoted as a series regular.

Raver plays Teddy Altman, a cardiology surgeon who’s brought in to work at the hospital by her former Army colleague Owen (Kevin McKidd).

A love triangle between Teddy, Owen and his girlfriend, Seattle Grace resident, Christina (Sandra Oh) is already developing.

Grey’s Anatomy returns from its winter break on Jan. 14 where there will be a two-part crossover episode with Private Practice.

The episode will center around Mark’s (Eric Dane) pregnant daughter, Sloane. Her condition has an impact on Mark and Lexie’s (Chyler Leigh) relationship.

Kim Raver Joins ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

Kim Raver (24) has joined cast of Grey’s Anatomy in a recurring role where she will play a new surgeon and a love interest to  Dr. Owen Hunt.

Raver was most recently in the canceled Lipstick Jungle. She will make her first appearance on the ninth episode, which is airing on Nov. 12.

Catch Grey’s this week on ABC at 10:00 p.m.
