Robert Pattinson and Marion Cotillard Join Cosmopolis

Robert Pattinson has joined the cast of David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis, which is based on the Don Delillo novel of the same name.

Pattinson will play a newlywed billionaire who over a 24 hour span cheats on his wife, gets stalked, gets assaulted, and loses his fortune.

Marion Cotillard will play Pattinson’s wife and Paul Giamatti will play one of his two stalkers.

Colin Farrell was initially tapped for the role, but left to shoot Total Recall.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp are the top two highest grossing stars in 2010, according to Forbes.

The company recently released its 2010 Top Ten Grossing Stars list and Depp tied second place with his Alice in Wonderland co-star Mia Wasikowska.

Uma Thurman and Robert Pattinson: Bel Ami First Look

Pattinson plays Georges Duroy, a young man that rises to power in Paris by manipulating the city’s most influential and wealthy women.

Kristin Scott Thomas and Christina Ricci round out the cast.

Ricci recently admitted that Pattinson is a good kisser.

“He’s a sweet guy and super funny. And a really good kisser,” she said.

Bel Ami hits theaters next year.

Robert Pattison Almost Gets Crushed by an Elephant

Don’t worry Twihards, he’s OK!

While filming a scene for his upcoming Water for Elephants film, Robert Pattinson reportedly escaped getting crushed by an elephent on set.

According to a source: ”The script called for the elephant to step forward while swinging her trunk from side to side, but Rosie got her signals mixed up. Instead, she sat down on her big butt, lifted her front legs – then rolled over. Before anyone could react, Robert slid right down the elephant’s back. It could have been a disaster if she’d rolled over on him – but he got lucky, landing face first in a pile of dirt and mud. He was filthy, but unharmed.”

Pattinson is filming the movie with Reese Witherpoon, and she got quite amused.

The soruce added: ”Everyone on the set cracked up – especially Reese, who was laughing so hard she couldn’t catch her breath.”

Christina Ricci: Robert Pattinson is a Really Good Kisser

Christina Ricci is dishing about locking lips with Bel Ami costar Robert Pattinson.

The 30-year-old actress told InStyle: “He’s a sweet guy and super funny. And a really good kisser.”

Ricci hasn’t, however, seen the Twilight movies.

“I was waiting for them to be on TV because the theaters were so crowded, but there’s no excuse,” she said.

But although she hasn’t seen his films, she gushes about Pattinson.

“He’s so charming and such a smart guy. He’s so super organized and in charge of his career. He was actually giving me advice.”

Reese Witherspoon to Star in Peggy Lee Biopic

Reese Witherspoon will play the lead role of Peggy Lee in the untitled biopic of the singer, with Nora Ephron writing and attached to direct.

Witherspoon secured the rights to Lee’s story from the late singer’s estate after meeting with Lee’s granddaughter, Holly Foster-Wells.

The actress is also set to produce the film.

The biopic will explore the professional and personal life of a legendary performer. A singer, songwriter, composer and actress, Lee’s career spanned nearly seven decades.

Witherspoon is next in theaters in December in comedy How Do You Know? opposite Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson and Water for Elephants with Robert Pattinson is set for release in April.

Katy Perry: Robert Pattinson’s Biggest Fan

Robert Pattinson hangs out with a nerdy-looking Katy Perry backstage at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards, held at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday (Aug. 8th) in Universal City, Calif.

Pattison sat next to his Twilight cast members Ashley Greene and Taylor Lautner during the show.

He also picked up a surfboard for Best Actor in a Drama for his role in Remember Me.

Pattinson beat out Jake Gyllenhaal (Brothers), Toby Maguire (Brothers), Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) and Channing Tatum (Dear John).

During his speech, he said: “Its great to win something outside of Twilight.”

Breaking Dawn Will Be Split in Two

It’s official, the final film in the Twilight franchise will be split into two separate movies, accoring to Summit Entertainment.

The first part will be released on Nov. 18, 2011, but the studio didn’t disclose the second movie’s date.

There have previously been rumors that Summit would break up Breaking Dawn into two films.

Eclipse, the third installment, is set for a June 30 release.
